Claiming for Industrial deafness
Industrial deafness is defined as ‘the permanent loss of hearing caused by exposure to industrial noise in a worker’s employment’. It isn’t usually linked to total hearing loss, but does permanently affect your ability to hear clearly.
Tinnitus can also be brought on by noisy working conditions, which results in continual ringing or noise in the ears or head, despite there being no sound.
You’re particularly at risk if you work, or have worked in heavy engineering, construction, manufacturing or with noisy machinery.
Your condition will be linked to the level of noise and length of time you were exposed to it, and our experienced solicitors will be able to advise you on how successful they think your claim will be, based on this information. They’ll also arrange an appointment for a hearing test to determine the extent of the damage caused.
